Access to CRG Learning platform
Who can attend and access CRG internal trainings?
The CRG internal trainings are all courses promoted in the catalogue of the CRG Learning platform, except for the International Courses. Only CRG and EMBL Barcelona staff/collaborators can apply to and freely participate in the CRG internal training courses. These are NOT open to external participants. Exceptions are made, for users from institutions with whom we have a previous agreement (Doctoral Networks, European projects, etc.).
Can EMBL Barcelona staff attend CRG internal trainings?
Generally, YES. CRG internal trainings are open to EMBL Barcelona staff, with an exception for Cluster courses, those are intended for users of the CRG cluster.
Can external participants access CRG internal trainings?
This depends on the course. Only authenticated users (users with an approved account) can access the courses within the CRG Learning platform.
Do I need an account to access courses on the CRG Learning platform?
Yes, for Offline Training materials hosted on the CRG learning platform, users may need to create an account and log in. However, if you would like to apply for Live-Online or Presential Trainings you only need to access the course information and click on the registration link. These courses are ONLY open to CRG staff/collaborators and EMBL Barcelona, any application from external individuals will not be considered.
How do I create an account on the CRG learning platform?
Go to https://training.crg.eu/, click on “Log in” and then “Create new account”. Fill all requested fields. Your account will be revised and, if approved, you will have access to the platform within 2 working days.
Why does my account on the CRG Learning platform need to be approved?
The CRG learning platform is open only to CRG and EMBL Barcelona staff. Exceptions are made, for users from institutions with whom we have a previous agreement (Doctoral Networks, European projects, etc.). Fields such as motivation statement, institutional email and Institution helps us identify these users and provide quick access to the platform.
Registration for courses
How do I register or apply for a course?
You can access the registration link without logging in to the platform. Just access the catalogue, choose your desired course, click on the registration link and provide the requested information.
Why can't I access or register for a course?
For registration to Live-Online and Presential Trainings, you must make sure you are using the appropriate Microsoft account for that course on Microsoft Forms. For example, registration for the Cluster courses require users to log in with their CRG Microsoft account because the course is restricted to CRG users (Not open to EMBL Barcelona).
For Offline Trainings located in the CRG Learning Platform, you must have an account AND be logged in.
I do not have a CRG/EMBL email address yet, can I still apply/register to courses?
Yes, when asked in the registration form what is your Institute, you can choose “Other”. Later on, you can provide a personal email address and specify in the comment section about your current situation. This will allow us to consider your application.
I do not have yet a DNI/NIE, can I still apply/register to courses?
Yes, you can use any valid identification number in case you do not have a NIE yet.
How can I check whether my course application was received?
After you finished the registration via Microsoft Forms, the screen will show you a message like this: “Thank you for registering for [NAME OF THE COURSE] course”. If you are still unsure whether your application was received, contact training@crg.eu. TAO can check whether the application was submitted successfully.
Will a course be offered again?
Some courses are repeated periodically, while others are organized only when there is sufficient demand or need. Check the Training CRG catalogue for upcoming editions.
Language courses
